I’m Sue Thomas the Director of Business RoundUp Ltd. One of the main reasons for starting my business back in 2005 was to utilize my experience and help business owners keep track of what was happening in their business.
We all work extremely hard to succeed in the challenging environment of running our own businesses and balancing family life at the same time. I am married with two teenage children and can appreciate that it’s very important to get the balance right.
I have worked in large corporate environments for over 18 years and have completed both Accounting Practices and Principles papers and I have worked with several accounting software solution systems. All this allows me to bring my knowledge & experience to you and your business and helps you gain the knowledge to keep track of what is happening within your business.
What we all discover when starting out in business is that we might be experts in our trade but there’s so much more that we struggle with – like keeping the books up to date, having systems in place and probably more importantly, having the time to do what is necessary. Business RoundUp helps businesses with tailor made solutions; I get great satisfaction in knowing that I’ve been able to help a small business succeed by giving them the control to “keep track of business”.
I started working in an office, as an office junior from the time I left school and my role for the last 20 years has been as an Office Manager.
Having always enjoyed balancing accounts and sorting out problems relating to business management, means that I have the knowledge and understanding of financial, Accounting, marketing and operational functions of an organisation.
Obtaining a Diploma of Business from Massey University has given me a better understanding of the running of a business, which I bring to Business RoundUp’s clients on a daily basis.
Although the work carried out for clients of Business RoundUp is similar in nature the various types of businesses keep the work interesting and varied. I enjoy using my skills to compliment the client’s business acumen.
My husband and I moved to Nelson 11 years ago from Auckland. We have two sons in Auckland and two grandchildren, with twin boys. Our lives will be very busy.
